Phillip Jeffries is looking for a Sample Production Planner!

 

Our team is searching for a highly motivated, dynamic and hands-on Sample Production Planner to drive a world class sample fulfillment operation.  The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and communication skills and previous planning experience.

 

This position is on-site at our facility in Fairfield, NJ and is stationed on the warehouse floor.  Candidate must be willing to open 8:30am and close 7:30pm.  In addition, must be willing to “get their hands dirty” in order to learn all facets of the operation.

This position will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

 

What you will be doing:

Responsible for the NJ fulfillment sample stock fill rate

  99.9% fill rate for A items

    98.5% for all items, at start

Responsible for all Showrooms’ sample stick fill rate

     Same as NJ

Daily review of Planning Sheet

Creation of necessary documents

  Transfer Orders

    Production Orders

    Purchase Orders

Update of all Product Data on Planning Sheet/System

Work with PJ Project Staff to Implement Demand Planning Module within the ERP.

Daily Communication with Sampling Staff Regarding Statuses of In-House Production as well as out of House production

Inventory strategy for sample inventory management (safety stock, what is produced in house vs out of house)

Making sure that all inventory ties out with the appropriate digital documents (purchase orders, work orders, planning sheets, transfer orders, etc.)

Coordinate with the Logistics team and give direction on what orders to pick, what is in house vs out of house, and priority of receipts

Coordinate with all outside partners involved in memo manufacturing (Printers, Manufacturers, Mills, etc.) to make sure all partners are hitting their committed SLA’s

Making sure strategy support running as lean as possible with inventory while having the appropriate safety stock.

Create SLA with all binderies and offset printers to have on time, in full deliveries

Create diversification plans to ensure consistent supply of memos with no failure.

Hire additional binderies to fulfill PJ requirements.

Coordinate with the purchasing team to place purchase orders of items required or allocate it from the stock on hand beside follow up on the delivery dates

 

Must have:

3-5 Years Planning Experience

Strong in Excel

   Advanced Formulas

   Pivot Tables

   Understanding of External Database Connections

Experience with ERP and or Financial Systems

   Production Orders

   Transfer Orders

   Purchase Orders

   Planning Modules/Systems

   Stock Orders

   Firm Plan Sheets

   BOM’s

Experience with WMS systems

Experience with both in house and out of house manufacturing of finished goods

Root Cause Analysis

Trend Analysis

Excellent Communication Skills

Strong understanding of Inventory Management
