Phillip Jeffries is looking for a Copywriter to join our Marketing Team!


The Copywriter conveys the voice of the Phillip Jeffries brand. This person crafts the stories that add beauty and texture to our lives, encourage us to appreciate the world around us, and celebrate artisans and their crafts. He/she creates compelling copy that inspires and delights our clients in the interior design community and our colleagues on the PJ team. Their deep understanding of our customers and their journeys enables them to develop break-through copy that enhances all interactions with the brand. Their fluency in digital, video, social and print media plays a pivotal role in establishing Phillip Jeffries as the undeniable marketing leader in the Interior Design industry.

What you will be doing:

 

CRAFT COMPELLING COPY FOR INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS

  • Create copy for new product introductions
    • Collection and product copy for all uses
    • Positioning statements for launches and collections
    • Collection and color names
    • Press releases
  • Craft emails, articles, and blog entries
  • Create sales and client service scripts for promotions and initiatives
  • Craft SEO-friendly copy for all digital channels
  • Understand and appreciate our customers and their journeys
  • Ensure appropriate marks are used across all communications

 

DEVELOP CONCEPTS FROM INCEPTION TO EXECUTION

  • Contribute to cross-functional kick-offs, brainstorms, and research forums
  • Proofread and fact check all materials, ensuring information is accurate and the grammar and punctuation is consistent with our guidelines
  • Ensure copy works with associated visual elements
  • Distribute blog copy and press releases through the appropriate systems

 

CREATE SYSTEMS AND PROCESSES TO SUPPORT COPY DEVELOPMENT AND INNOVATION

  • Identify new opportunities within our business to bring the Phillip Jeffries brand to life through greater storytelling
  • Drive innovation by continually seeking inspiration from within and beyond the Interior Design category
  • Provide exceptional service to internal and external clients – obsessing about response time, anticipating needs, and seeking ways to exceed expectations
  • Drive operational efficiency through continuous process improvement
  • Uphold PJ vision, mission, and values – leading by example and inspiring colleagues and contacts


Must have:


  • Must have 3- 7 years of previous copywriter experience
  • Strong portfolio of relevant work
  • Passion for storytelling and bringing ideas to life
  • Strong point of view and passion for collaboration
  • Positive energy and a desire to contribute
  • Fluency in digital, video, social and print
  • Adept at working cross-functionally to obtain required information
  • Ability to manage long- and short-term projects simultaneously
  • Interior design experience preferred
