Phillip Jeffries is growing and we are actively searching for a Quality Assurance (QA) Supervisor!


Our team is searching for a highly motivated, dynamic and hands-on Quality Assurance Supervisor.  The ideal candidate is extremely detail-oriented, an excellent communicator and enjoys being a part of a winning team. This role will report to our Manufacturing Manager and will work a hybrid schedule.


What you will be doing:


  • Support the review and redesign of the quality systems and processes of the infrastructure of the organization so that  
    • (a) we are always optimizing the pursuit of our mission 
    • (b) all of the performance goals of every person and every department can be exceeded 
    • (c) our customers never have a reason to consider an alternative supplier 
  • Provide world-class quality standards to consistently provide customers What they want, when they want it, The Way they want it 
  • Support the invention, reinvention and reliable implementation of the most innovative, highest quality, most cost-effective Quality Management processes in the world 
  • Support quality assurance to ensure Quality Excellence goals are met and exceeded so that the company is operating in the most effective and efficient way possible 
  • Inform all of Customer Service, Import Export, Purchasing, and Production Personnel and Sales of all quality standards 
  • Being a steward of this organizations GWP, Mission, Vision and Values and having apprentice stewards at every level 
  • Make certain that the operational staff throughout the organization are the best informed, most capable, most highly-empowered, and most appropriately composed in this or any comparable industry 
  • Oversee corrective action process with external customers and vendors 
  • Analyze data from systems to provide recommended course of action to supervisor for the sake of operational excellence 
  • Annually measuring PJ Quality operations 
  • Ensure PJ operations What they want, When they want it, The Way they want it are the best in the industry by any measurement and metric 
  • Meet with Management or Directors and/or their designate, at a minimum, once a month to review progress of all projects 
  • Ensure all PJ products have written finished good specifications and are readily available to company employees 
  • Ensure PJ Quality maintains a library for master standards for all PJ products 
  • Provides confidence that quality requirements are being fulfilled 
  • Build inspection system for incoming shipments & outgoing shipments 
  • Create quality standard, guidelines and establish product tolerance for each collection. 
  • Ability to work with internal stakeholders and individual vendors to develop quality assurance specifications for every individual product including the target product quality and range of variances in both visual and written specification. 
  • Communicate standards to vendors. 
  • Monitor every production lot to ensure compliance to standards, either through lot inspection upon delivery or pre shipment outturn samples. 
  • Provide monthly metrics regarding vendor performance. 

 

Must have

  • 3+ years QA experience 
  • Previous experience managing a team
  • ISO and cGMP certified preferred 
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Upbeat, energetic, positive, can-do attitude 
  • Able to effectively multitask and shift direction quickly 
  • Excellent time management and follow up skills 
  • Proactive approach to problem solving 
  • Calm under pressure, level-headed  
  • Nimble  
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds 
  • RF and WMS knowledge a plus 
  • Bilingual a plus
