Phillip Jeffries is expanding our IT team and we are looking for an IT Helpdesk Specialist to join us!


In this role, you will ensure that IT Service Requests are processed quickly and efficiently, and that PJ users are supported in their IT needs.  The ideal candidate must be able think on their feet and has the motivation to think proactively.  The ideal candidate must be willing to work, 11:00 am to 8:00 pm EST Monday through Friday. This is a hybrid work from home/ work from HQ office opportunity. This position will report directly to our IT Operations Manager.


    What you will be doing:


    Responsible for ensuring that Help Desk tickets are:


    • Accurately classified, and all actions documented
    • Actioned efficiently and within agreed SLS


    Responsible for setting up users:


    • Security rights
    • Access to systems
    • Basic user configuration


    Responsible for setting up hardware:


    • Workstation
    • Laptops
    • Phones
    • Printers
    • Monitors
    • Scanners 
    • Scanning guns
    • Time clocks
    • Building access controls 


    Responsible for installation and user configuration of:


    • MS Windows
    • MS Office
    • Soft Phones
    • MS Dynamics ERP & CRM
    • WMS
    • Adobe Suite
    • Building security
    • Timeforce


    Responsible for maintenance of:


    • A/V Systems
    • Conferences
    • Meeting recordings


    Responsible for IT portion of


    • Staff on boarding
    • Staff off boarding
    • Customer meetings / presentations
    • Launch webinars


    Responsible for clear communication with


    • Vendors
    • Consultants
    • Partners


    Responsible for preparing and delivering:


    • Documentation
    • Training on standard IT systems
    • SharePoint guidance


    Must Have:

    • 3 – 5 years’ experience of helpdesk support role.
    • Hands on experience of user administration  
      • Active Directory 
      • O365 
      • Windows 
      • Azure 
      • OS installs 
      • AWS 
      • User setup  
    • Hands on experience with  
      • Hardware setup / provisioning 
      • Hardware troubleshooting 
      • Hardware builds and parts replacements 
    • Hands on experience of 
      • Application installation 
      • Basic configuration 
      • Software troubleshooting   
    • Hands on experience with Help Desk / Service Desk systems 
    • Comfortable with Microsoft Office suite 
    • Experience of administering Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft phone services 
    • Awesome verbal and written communication skills 
    • Great interpersonal skills 
    • Highly structured and organized 
    • Passion for technology 
    • Passion for learning 
    • Associate degree 
    • Can lift at least 40 lbs. 
    • Must have reliable form of transportation 
    • Internet Savvy 
    • A plus if you have: 
      • Experience creating training material and documents 
      • Microsoft / CompTIA certifications or equivalent 
      • ITIL Certification / knowledge
