We are seeking to hire a Staff Accountant on our Phillip Jeffries Accounting Team!


The ideal candidate must be a driven individual with a "can-do" attitude and can handle various of accounting tasks. This role will report to our Controller and will work a hybrid schedule of in-office and remote days.


What you will be doing:


Provide an Analyze monthly data for International subsidiaries 

  • Collect and confirm data required to provide to our outside accounting firms for the international subsidiaries including sales invoices, purchase invoices, vat taxes, customs documents etc. 

 

Maintain bank reconciliations and cash posting files 

  • Ensure all cash postings are maintained in the cash schedule daily and reconcile with the bank accounts 
  • Be the backup for Bank reconciliations in NAV 

 

Ensure entry postings 

  • Post vendor payments in NAV for all companies 
  • Post any entries missing in NAV 

 

Assist with the monthly sales and use tax filings 

  • Ensure accurate reports for month end sales by state- including researching any missing or unusual data 
  • Ensure timely delivery of the month end sales reports to firm for filing 
  • Review invoices at minimum monthly for missing sales tax and ensure use tax schedule is maintained 

 

Ensure month end close of International entities 

  • Ensure all entries are posted monthly as needed to reconcile and ensure proper accounting for the international locations. 
  • Assist with any month end closing reports, reconciliations and NAV processes to close. 

 

Assist with international payables 

  • Assist with posting international mill payments and validating payment due based on inventory received. 


Must have:


  • Previous experience in accounting, general journal entries and reconciliations 
  • Experience with sales and use tax preferred  
  • Experience using MS Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel 
  • Experience with Microsoft dynamic NAV a plus. 
  • Intermediate Excel knowledge, including vlookups and pivot tables preferable 
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize requests 
  • High attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times(in files, passwords, data and communication) 
  • High level of integrity and ethical standards.
